A crypto exchange is an online platform where you can buy, sell, and trade cryptocurrencies.
These exchanges allow you to convert cryptocurrencies into other digital currencies or traditional fiat
money (like USD, EUR, etc.) and vice versa.
There are two main types of crypto exchanges:
Centralized Exchanges (CEX)
These are managed by a central authority or company. Examples include Binance and Coinbase.
They often
offer high liquidity and a wide range of trading pairs but require users to trust the exchange with their
funds.
Decentralized Exchanges (DEX)
These operate without a central authority, allowing peer-to-peer trading directly between users. Examples
include Uniswap and SushiSwap. They offer more privacy and control over your funds but may have lower
liquidity and fewer trading pairs.
See our Dexes page for more info about dexes and some dexes can give you potential airdrops.
