Walrus stores and delivers raw data and media files, like videos, images and PDF's without sacraficing performance or
accessibility.
The protocol is very secure and is build on the Sui network.
Walrus is a part of Mysten Labs. It is the same team behind SUI. There are already customers running their project on Walrus network.
Walrus is one of the most promising projects on the SUI network for 2025.
Walrus has confirmed to launch the $WAL token on Sui network and is currently running on the Sui testnet.
Walrus Protocol has confirmed an airdrop.
Follow the guide below to get maximal eligible for the airdrop on Walrus Protocol.
Quick Guide
| 1 | Download the Sui Wallet. Create a new wallet if you don't have a Sui wallet yet. Save your backup phrase somewhere safe. Go to Wallet settings, click on Network and select Testnet. |

| 2 | Go to the Faucet page of Blockbolt. Fill in your Sui wallet address and click on "Give me sui!". |

| 3 | Go to the Walrus Publish and upload any image (max 10MB). Once you've uploaded your image (blob), copy your Blob ID and check at the Walrus Scan to see if it's correctly uploaded. |

| 4 | Go to the Flatland Testnet page, connect your Sui wallet and mint a free Flatland NFT. | |
| 5 | Go to the Walrus Stake page, connect your Sui wallet and click "Get WAL" button. Exchange SUI to WAL tokens. Get minimal 1 WAL token. |
|
| 6 | Now scroll down to Current Committee and select any Validator. Stake minimal 1 WAL. |
|
| 7 | Get the Walrus Explorer NFT by doing the the bonus quest at the tab Bonus tasks. | |
| 8 | The snapshot for testnet is taken. You can check if you gave received a NFT from walrus in your SUI wallet with your allocation. The airdrop will take place in March 2025. |

| 9 | More rewards are coming. Walrus has reserverd 10% of total supply for airdrops. The testnet airdrop was only 4%. Likely a second airdrop will come. |

| 10 | Go to the Walrus Guild and complete all tasks. For most tasks you will get Study Credits. This will likely play a big role for the next airdrop. |

| 1 | Go to the Galxe website and connect your Sui wallet. Make sure your Sui wallet is on mainnet (Wallet settings - Network) and ensure you have minimal 1 Sui in your wallet. If you have no Galxe account yet, go first to your profile and link your X (Twitter) and Discord profile. If you have already a Galxe profile with your ethereum wallet, then go to your profile and link your Sui wallet. |

| 2 | Complete all tasks and mint the NFT. | |
| 3 | Go to second Galxe quests and complete all tasks. After completed all you can claim another free NFT. |
